Killer whales are a big attraction towards tourists from all over the world. Even though people want to educate themselves about these creatures and support the organizations, they are still very willing to take part in events such as the Orca’s Shows. Animal Parks don’t share the side effects of keeping blackfish in captivation, which keeps humanity unaware of the growing problem, causing big damages in the ecosystem and our planet, as well as harming the animals and don’t protect the animal welfare. Luckily, more new organizations start protecting these species and fighting for their freedom, at the same time offering other tourist attractions without causing the harm of orcas and income loss of animal parks. The question however stays the same – can tourism and wildlife ever co-exist? Only better education and spreading awareness among people are a key to make a change and rise human-animal empathy. The purpose of this paper is to bring up to the day light the behind the scenes of orca’s captivity, how humanity can prevent wildlife harm and abuse, and support the welfare of these animals. It also wants to educate and spread awareness among people, to start making right decisions everyday towards the better future and protection of blackfish. Tourism plays a big role, and by advertising the location with the wrong activities, they bring wrong visitors, who need more education about the issue. The paper provides the insight into wildlife protection and how each of us can make a change.
