Since a long time, Supply Chain Management has been an indispensable component in business. It became more and more evident, that in order to have a successful organization, one has to work and improve on supply chain, constantly. Not only national, but also international trade agreements are dependent on Supply Chain Management. Eventually, COVID 19 brought out the need for an optimally functioning Supply Chain Management more than ever. And since the world is moving and new inventions come out almost every day, so must Supply Chain Management adapt to the new circumstances, one of which is Artificial Intelligence. Artificial Intelligence is one of the biggest breakthroughs the world, especially the digital world, has ever faced. It has the ability to replicate human intelligence and thus reach the desired goal in the shortest possible time. The challenge now is to create an interaction between Supply Chain Management and Artificial Intelligence. For this purpose, it is necessary to set rules that manages this interaction. Among others, this thesis argues, that there are three main regulatories that are crucial to a well-functioning cooperation of Artificial Intelligence in Supply Chain Management. These are firstly regulating the security issues. Data security is also a very important and nowadays very common issue that urgently needs to be in focus. Secondly, job reductions through substituting human beings by robots have to be prevented at any time. And thirdly, a following and equally strong speed in the processes is decisive in this cooperation between the two. With the right planning and the right dosage of Artificial Intelligence in this are, many processes can indeed be improved without harming anyone or anything.
